Recycling content

In 2022, we used approximately 5,345,000 kg of recycled materials.

The associated saving on CO2 emissions is approximately 5 050 000 kg CO2eq estimated on the recycled content of the base polymers.

In 2022, we launched the GROW™ water systems product line containing recycled materials.

Energy saving photovoltaics

In 2022, investments were made for 2 pilot photovoltaic installations on 2 sites: 50kWp and 100kWp.

In 2023 we plan to realise:

  • By mid 2023, 2 more pilot installations on 2 sites
  • By the end of 2023 – expansion of all existing pilot plants to a total capacity of approximately 3200 kWp

The current stations have produced 3.38 MWh, saving 1.6 tonnes of CO2eq (data from the PV installation app)

Energy saving other investments

Further energy-saving investments are being introduced in the operations of individual locations:

Planned for 2023:

  • heat exchanger using heat from chillers cooling process water for heating sanitary water and office space (1 location)
  • Replacement of fluorescent lamps with LED – Completion of the investment (1 location)
  • heat pump for pre-cooling of process water (1 location)

2022 realised:

  • replacing fluorescent lamps with LEDs
  • individual workstations in the assembly and packaging area have their own individual light switches, thus saving energy on the central lighting of the entire production area.
  • motion detector-activated stairwell lighting
  • installations using the heat from the cooling of the extruder heads to heat the raw materials in the hoppers
  • heat exchanger that uses the heat from the chillers cooling the process water to heat the sanitary water and office space
  • time switches for battery chargers for electric forklift trucks (avoiding current consumption in STAND-BY after battery charging – such consumption can amount to 100W/1h)
