Functionality, the use of state-of-the-art materials and technology, and aesthetics – these are the advantages of axes from the ERGO series appreciated by the jury of the Good Design 2017 competition.
Experts awarded Cellfast the top prize in the Home category.
The Good Design Competition is the country’s most important award in the field of design and innovation.
For the 24th time.
It was organized by the Institute of Industrial Design, and the event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Ultura and National Heritage.
The ERGO axes designed by the duo KABO&PYDO and Cellfast Design Group took the top prize in the most popular “Home” category, in which experts qualified more than 40 products for the finals.
Among them were doors, windows, as well as wallpaper and fabrics.
We are honored that our product was appreciated by an independent jury,” says Rafal Slabik, director of sales and marketing at Cellfast.
Especially since at the very beginning of our work on the axe line we were met with the opinion that we would not come up with anything new,” he adds.
Meanwhile, a line of tools appreciated by experts and, above all, by customers was created.
We opted for innovative solutions and used the best quality materials.
Before the axes went on sale for almost two years they were refined and tested by a special test group.
The winners of Good Design 2017 were selected by a distinguished group of experts, such as the vice president of the Association of Industrial Forms, Professor Michal Stefanowski, the head of the Department of Product Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Professor Marek Adamczewski, and the creative director of the Institute of Industrial Design, Katarzyna Rzehak.
In awarding the axes the title of Good Design 2017, the jury appreciated their functionality, as well as the use of state-of-the-art materials and technologies that take care of user safety.
The experts also paid attention to aesthetics, which from ordinary tools creates an attractive market product.
– The award for the axes caused quite a lot of positive reactions from the participants of the competition as well,” says designer Tomasz Pydo, “This is all the more important for us, as there were some really sensational projects competing in the competition.
The post-competition exhibition will be presented until December 3 at the Institute of Industrial Design on ul.
Świętojerska in Warsaw.
It can be viewed from Tuesday to Sunday.
Admission to the exhibition is free.
The title of Good Design 2017, is another award for original design and excellent quality for Cellfast tools.
The ERGO LINE™ series of rakes, axes and sharpeners won recognition from the Council of Experts of the MUST HAVE 2017 plebiscite – one of the most important competitions, during which specialists evaluate the design of Polish products.
The plebiscite was held on the occasion of the Łódź Design Festival.
A brand-new series of PASTEL™ gardening tools was also recently launched, which aroused great interest at the spoga+gafa fair in Cologne.
– When designing them, we were really able to go wild,” says designer Tomasz Pydo.
– We created products that are light, unique and… elegant.
Their unique design makes them eye-catching for customers.
